BRIEF
Set a paragraph of the Flatland novel in an experimental format exploring typography.

SOLUTION
Flatland is a book about the perception of different classes of people in the Victorian era. Classes are decribed in the book by 2D and 3D shapes, the higher class you are the more sides you have to your shape.

I chose to split the characters up into three parts to create abstract shapes, each of these shapes forms part of a letter.
A selection of the shapes was laser etched on to three pieces of acrylic, when these three pieces of acrylic are laid together the paragraph becomes legible.
